The Institute of Economic Liberty (ILE) announced the results of an investigation on the knowledge of the principles of the free market, and even as those who participated in the study’s survey stated that they were divided on how they assess their personal economic situation, 88% responded that Puerto Rico’s “economic situation is bad or very bad.”
Even with the economic growth that the country has registered and the allocation of millions in federal funds, Puerto Ricans indicated that they have a pessimistic perception of Puerto Rico's economy, both now and in the future, according to a study by the Institute for Economic Liberty (ILE).

But nearly all respondents value individual merit as a priority in professional advancement.
