Vicky Dávila, candidate to the presidency of Colombia, unveiled this Thursday the economic team that, in the best Javier Milei's style, will accompany her in her project to “rebuild Colombia”.

In a video he posted on his social networks, Dávila begins with a striking introduction: “I was told that to record a selfie, as for almost everything, never, ever, use your left hand”.

Then, he goes into the subject: “Here I present part of the economic team, some of the people with whom we are already working to rebuild Colombia”.

The advisors are Axel Kaiser, economic advisor to the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, considered the third most influential economist in Latin America, Spain and the United States, according to John Hopkins University. “There is no human and social flourishing without economic freedom”, says Kaiser, in the video released by Dávila.

Kaiser, born in Santiago, Chile, is the author of the best-selling economics book in the Spanish-speaking world in the last 20 years. Dávila notes that he is a lawyer with a master's degree in Investment and Trade and holds a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Heidelberg.

The second advisor is Colombian Daniel Raisbeck, founder of the Libertarian Movement in Colombia. “He has a degree in Classical Studies from George Washington University, and a PhD in Ancient History, as well as a public policy analyst for Latin America, and was an independent candidate for Mayor of Bogota in 2015, says Dávila in his presentation.

Included in the video is a statement by Raisbeck who says: “If we finally end state waste, you can cut bureaucracy, cut spending, cut taxes and finally move from the current model, from stagnation, to a new model of high economic growth”.

The third advisor presented by Vicky Dávila is Lisandro Junco, who was director of the Dian. “He had records in collection, reduction of evasion and smuggling. He is a lawyer with an MBA, a master's degree in international law and, in addition, a university professor. He is an expert in economic reactivation in Colombia and Latin America,” said the journalist in her presentation. Junco, in the video, launches a warning: “In Colombia we pay taxes for everything and that makes everything more expensive. The solution is easy: less taxes”.

Finally, the fourth advisor is Andrés Bernal Correa, president of Grupo de Inversiones Mundial. “He worked 25 years at Grupo Sura, where he was vice president of investments and finance. He has been founder and creator of 14 companies that generate thousands of jobs in Colombia. He is a business administrator with an MBA from Babson College in the United States,” says the journalist. In the video, Bernal Correa says: “Let them let us work and let the country's growth soar”.

In the end, Vicky Dávila concludes: “They know about the economy, and I know what Colombia wants and needs”.
