Arturo V. Bauermeister has practiced law for over a decade focusing his legal practice on federal civil litigation, but he also handles arbitrations and appears before Puerto Rico courts. His practice includes constitutional litigation, commercial and business litigation, employee benefits, and privacy law. As a CIPP/US-certified attorney, Arturo also deals with complex information-security and privacy issues. Aside from directly representing clients, he has filed amicus briefs on ILE’s behalf and is the director of the ILE Center Legal Foundation.

He clerked for the late Honorable Salvador E. Casellas of the U.S. District Court for the District Court of Puerto Rico and is admitted to practice before the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is also a notary public and a member of the Puerto Rico Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, which he founded and currently presides.

Arturo holds a B.A. in Political Science and Government from Villanova University and is a Cum Laude graduate of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he was a member of the law review and won the award for best student publication. He has published multiple articles and is a member of the Legal Writing Institute and of Scribes - The American Society of Legal Writers.
